Attendance Policy

Regular attendance is required of all students. Students that are habitually truant from school will not be allowed to remain at Marin Oaks High School. A habitual truant is defined as a student who has had three unexcused absences (cuts) or has been more than thirty minutes late to school for five days.

If a student becomes habitually truant he/she will be referred to the School Attendance Review Board (SARB). The SARB board will consider other placement for the student. The board is composed of school administrator(s), probation officer(s), police officer(s), and others as appropriate.

Students 18 years of age or older must be making normal progress toward graduation and have excellent attendance in order to remain at Marin Oaks High School.
