Parent Responsibilities
1. Parents are expected to assist and encourage their student in
attending school every day, on time.
2. Parents are required to notify the school the day their student
is absent for any legitimate reason (illness, family business, funerals,
religious holiday). Failure to notify the school within forty-eight
hours will result in an unexcused absence for your student. You may
call Marin Oaks at 415-892-8733 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and
4:00 p.m. to speak with the office manager.
3. Parents are expected to not excuse their child if the student
fails to attend school for any illegitimate reason (cuts school).
4. Parents are expected to encourage and praise their student when
the student shows significant progress and performs well at school.
5. Parents are encouraged to communicate with the school and give
input to the staff as to how we can better serve their child.
6. Parents are encouraged to be a member of our Site Leadership Team
and provide input into school planning and direction.
7. Parents are encouraged to volunteer their time at Marin Oaks
High School when possible.
